THE GOLDEN LION in Botchergate, has re-opened as a Biker’s Pub and welcomes all Bikers. Check out the custom bike displayed in the Bar! The Bar & Lounge are decorated with Biker Memorabilia. Look out for Bands on the weekends. Cumbria’s only dedicated Biker Bar!

Egremont

THE CENTRAL in main street Egremont is run by a biker and is a biker pub. Bikers always welcome.

Hartside

HARTSIDE TOP CAFE, a popular meeting place for bikers from the North East on a Sunday, is on the main A686 Alston to Penrith road. England's highest cafe is 1903 feet above sea level, with spectacular views when not shrouded in the clouds. Ample parking. Good food and hot drinks( no bar though). There is a bikers notice board inside the cafe and bikers are of course very welcome. Open Easter to November; 9am to 5.30pm approx, later in high season. Tel  01434 381036

Hesket Newmarket

THE OLD CROWN: Brews its own and highly successful beers. Beer prices are sensible, food (mainly curries) is excellent and the pub is small and friendly, though it gets crowded at weekends. Bikers are as welcome as any other well behaved people and eccentrics go unnoticed among the regulars

Kirby Lonsdale

THE DEVIL'S BRIDGE: famous as a meeting place for bikers for years. If you are fancying a new bike, don't bother going round the dealers, just go down here and have a look around because you have just got to find what you are looking for. There is a snack van that serves your tea/coffee in real cups. They have now opened a field up where you can now browse round some stalls. Sunday is motorcycle only parking day. If your bike or helmet etc isn't legal there is a good chance you will get done, also keep your speed down, there have been quite a few accidents lately, and our numbers are small enough.
